The Day the World Stole My Heart
This is the moment I fell in love with the world all over again.
After riding from Kampot to Kep to watch sunset (and being quite disappointed with what we’d witnessed), my friend and I turned to go home. Riding around the bend from where we’d been, we pulled over in absolute awe of the sky. In the 20-40 minutes we spent taking photos and watching the colours change, we watched as other people were also overwhelmed by the beauty before all of us. Countless passers by on bikes and in rickshaws stopped in their tracks to admire the sky. Riding with the breeze in my hair, my heart was overflowing with love and gratitude for this adventure, this life and this moment. No rules, no plans, just the wind in my hair as I rode, following my heart in this incredible world. I was truly alive.
